April 14th continued

Tommy and Jo celebrated their 58th annivesary.
Wait... where's Jo?

I wondered once why Kuroda was wearing a jacket on the basepaths.

Frank McCourt joins Tommy. Someone commented that
we didn't see Jo tonight, on their 58th anniversary.
Followed by another comment, "maybe that's why
they've been married 58 years."

Wonder what Joe's pointing at

Martin watches his pop-up, as the catcher takes off to get it.
He turned and headed towards the dug out ...
AND THE CATCHER DROPS THE BALL.
With a second chance at life, Russell hits a single!

April 14

Here's Mark Sweeney stopping to sign some autographs for
some kids who were lined up next to the dugout

Andy!

The Dodgers stand during the National Anthem
being sung by Romeo

The lineup cards are being exchanged.

Russell swings for a single!
Wait... where's the bat? What did he swing with?

There's Russ, who reached on second thanks
to a balk (that's what the scorer decided)

Here's Russ on third, on a passed ball
(in the same at-bat as the balk)

Yay! Russ scores on a ground-out by Andruw Jones
(That's Sweeney taking off Russ' helmet btw)

Here's Russ, thanking Andruw for bringing him home

This is why you should always take your camera everywhere

We went to the Descanso Gardens today. I have never been there, and only have heard about it twice. Once, when my brother went on a school field trip way back in elementary school. The other time when there was a fire in that area. Don't remember how long ago that was. Anyway, it was a lot bigger than I expected. Granted, it's not the Huntington Gardens, but it's still has beautiful gardens. My favorite at the Huntington Gardens is the rose garden. Yellow roses are my favorite. However, I found a new favorite at Descanso Gardens. Tulips. Even though I didn't have my camera, I had one on my phone. So, it's not the greatest quality. But it'll do.

July 8th, continued

Security tackles the first guy. Then this kid jumps on the field too.

He's just a kid!

Andre's first at-bat of the game = a home run.

July 8, 2007

I was going through some old photos and found some favorites from the July 8th game last year. It was the last game of the first half. Basically, it was the last game before the All Star Break.

Joe Beimel! Go here to see the Legend of Joe Beimel
It's quite funny actually. Joe Beimel became a favorite
of mine when he tossed us (well Kevin) a batting practice ball.

I had this photo in my car, and I showed it to Nina.
She looked at it and asked me who took it. I told her
That I did. She didn't believe me.

Out of all the games I have gone to... I don't really pay
much attention to the many different singers who sing the
National Anthem. Till this little girl came out. Only ten years old.
Amazing. She sang "God Bless America" and the "Star Spangled Banner."
Amazing.

Guess Russell thought she had a good voice too.
He took a peek out of the little room while she was singing.

Russell's first at-bat: a home run!

Hooray I'm back!

After being blocked for a few days, this blog has been unblocked! Hooray! Guess blogger decided that I wasn't a spam blog after all. Though I'm still not quite sure what a spam blog is anyway. Anyone know what a spam blog is?

My baseball card collection. Sort of.
It's just Russell Martin and David Wright cards,
with Randy Wolf on the far left.
I'd have more Russell Martin cards, but they were all stolen last year.

My desk is cluttered with Russell pictures.

Now my desk isn't as cluttered anymore.
But my wall is.

April 1, Continued

This is only like a sixth of the photos I posted on my flickr. You can see the rest of them here http://www.flickr.com/photos/fallingleaves02/

April 1st, 2008

This is probably one of my favorites, because both Andre and Matt are blowing bubbles. Too bad Andruw wasn't. That would be quite a picture.

Is bubble blowing a national past time too?

Saito in the bullpen. It's quite different looking down from the reserve level.

It was so cold!
I was wearing a 3/4 sleeve t-shirt, a thermal, a turtleneck, and a sleeveless Dodger shirt
And I was still cold! Even under my Dodger fleece blanket I was cold

I absolutely love the expression on his face.

Loney broke up the double play by taking out the guy on the floor (can't remember who he is)

Dodgers win! Furcal scored the winning run. Russell looks funny as he's heading over to jump on Delwyn Young, the hero of the night.
